Whirlpool Forum Discussions
The Whirlpool community is a very unique and different forum site. Although it was designed to be for the tech industry it does flow over to many other aspects of life. The rules and advice from the Whirlpool site advises: “Whirlpool is a website with a broad topic coverage. However, when it comes to financial, medical and legal advice, it’s always recommended to seek advice for a qualified professional, rather than asking random strangers on the internet.”
An example of this on a post referencing Ashley and Martin is pricing of treatment options from $3800.00 for 8 weeks with ongoing costs at $1,000 per month, and the ability to save $10,000 by following an anonymous poster’s advice These costs quoted are grossly inaccurate.
Ashley and Martin doctors are also concerned with users of Whirlpool stating side effects of medications. As stated by Whirlpool’s own guidelines these posters are not medical professionals and taking advice from random strangers is not advised. It seems these users are generally just regurgitating information they have found on other web sites. Only a trained medical doctor should be providing this type of advice.
Comparing medications you can buy over the counter in a pharmacy to the bespoke nature of prescription medications prescribed by qualified medical doctors is not really a comparison that should be used either. We are certain the people who are posting really do believe what they are writing is accurate but once again they are not specialists in this field. Quite frankly they do not understand what prescription medications we use, how they work and how they are compounded.
We also understand these posters believe that these types of forums are there to assist the public with obtaining correct information to make informed decisions. From time to time our own IT department uses Whirlpool to seek information and recommendations, but that is for tech related areas which many Whirlpool posters appear to be trained in, thereby providing vast amounts of useful knowledge that is worthwhile.
If you are unsure about what Ashley and Martin actually does and are seeking to reverse your hair loss, then a free consultation is the best course of action. The consultants will guide you through everything and if you wish medical related information you are welcome to book into seeing one of our medical doctors. The medical doctors bulk bill these appointments on Medicare.
